LUCKNOW: A devastating spell of bowling by pacer Naman Tiwari (4-0-24-4) led the Noida Super Kings to a brilliant four-wicket victory over the Kanpur Superstars in the UP T20 League. Playing at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium, the Kings defeated the previous year’s runners-up, handing the Superstars their fourth consecutive loss of the tournament.
Opting to bat first, Kanpur’s innings got off to a rocky start, losing their first wicket for just 13 runs as opener Adarsh Singh fell to Naman Tiwari for one run. Tiwari continued to dismantle the Kanpur batting lineup, sending back Shaurya Singh (10), Faiz Ahmed (46), and captain Sameer Rizvi (0) to break the back of their innings.
The entire team was bowled out for a mere 110 in 19.3 overs. From the Noida Super Kings, Kunal Tyagi took three wickets and Mohammad Sharim claimed two. In reply, the Noida Super Kings reached the target of 111 in 18.4 overs, losing six wickets in the process. Rahul Rajpal top-scored with 21, while Prashant Vir added 19 runs. For Kanpur, Rahul Sharma and Shubham Mishra picked up two wickets each.


BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla and former Cabinet Minister Suresh Rana were also present at the stadium to watch the match.
