‘Love in Vietnam’ Premieres at DANAFF III, Celebrating India-Vietnam Cultural Collaboration

Lucknow: The first-ever collaborative feature film between India and Vietnam, Love in Vietnam, had its world premiere at the 3rd Da Nang Asian Film Festival (DANAFF III), receiving an enthusiastic response from global audiences and industry leaders.

Speaking at the event, Ngô Phương Lan, Festival Director and Chairwoman of the Vietnam Film Development Association (VFDA), shared:

“This film is the embodiment of deep affection between the Vietnamese and Indian people — a beautiful symbol of love that transcends all challenges, barriers, and differences.”

India’s Deputy Ambassador to Vietnam, Ajungla Jamir, called the film “a historic milestone in cultural cooperation” and expressed hope for a sequel titled Love in India.

Audiences praised the film for its rich visuals and seamless cultural fusion—from music and costumes to language and storytelling—creating an experience that felt both romantic and deeply rooted in tradition.

Love in Vietnam attracted significant interest from media, artists, and investors from both countries, reinforcing the power of cinema to foster international dialogue, tourism, and creative collaboration.

Film producer Sarvesh Goel remarked that the overwhelming audience response and the enthusiastic fan following of lead actor Shantanu Maheshwari after the screening were strong indicators of the film’s potential mega success.
