Lucknow: Samvad Mediation Centre (SMC) and the Centre of Excellence for Mediation and Arbitration (CEMA) signed an MoU in Lucknow to promote mediation and arbitration in India. The collaboration aims to strengthen alternative dispute resolution (ADR) mechanisms in civil, commercial, and investor-state disputes.
It includes capacity-building through specialized training for judges, government officials, and private stakeholders, along with developing technical resources for effective mediation. This initiative seeks to institutionalize mediation services and enhance the ease of doing business by reducing litigation burdens.

The event was attended by Former High Court Judges Justice Mahendra Dayal and Justice Raghvendra Kumar, Senior Advocate Prashant Chandra, Retired IAS Officer Pravir Kumar, Senior Arbitration Lawyer Manish Mehrotra, Mukesh Singh from the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce, and IACC UP Chapter Chairperson Reena Singh. The partnership marks a significant step in advancing ADR mechanisms and fostering a more efficient legal framework in India.
