Prayagraj: In a display of deep spiritual devotion, Uttar Pradesh’s Additional Director General (ADG) of Police, Law & Order, IPS Amitabh Yash, along with his wife, senior Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer Renu Singh, and their children, took a sacred dip at the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj. The family participated in the religious ritual in the ongoing grand Maha Kumbh, reinforcing their faith in the holy confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers.
As the Maha Kumbh gains momentum and heads towards conclusion, devotees from across the country have been coming to Prayagraj. The presence of a senior law enforcement official and a high-ranking forest officer at the Triveni Sangam highlights the deep-rooted cultural and spiritual significance of the festival.
Speaking on the occasion, ADG Amitabh Yash emphasized the importance of faith and tradition in Indian culture. He also acknowledged the extensive security measures being put in place to ensure a safe and seamless experience for millions of pilgrims expected to attend the Maha Kumbh. “It is an honor to be here with my family and take part in this sacred tradition. The government is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all devotees visiting Prayagraj,” he said.
IFS officer Renu Singh echoed similar sentiments, appreciating the environmental efforts being undertaken to maintain the sanctity of the rivers during the festival. “The Maha Kumbh is not only a religious event but also a reminder of our duty to preserve our natural heritage,” she stated.
The Maha Kumbh, held once every twelve years, is one of the largest religious gatherings in the world. With months of preparations, authorities are focusing on security, crowd management, sanitation, and environmental conservation to make the event a grand success. The presence of senior officials like ADG Amitabh Yash and IFS Renu Singh reflects the spirit of unity, devotion, and commitment towards the successful organization of this spiritual congregation.
