Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Urban Development and Energy Minister A.K. Sharma inaugurated the 50 metric tonne per day (MTD) capacity Portable Compactor Transfer Station (PCTS) constructed by M/s Lucknow Swachhata Abhiyan at a cost of about Rs 2.5 crore in Vineet Khand-6, Lucknow in the presence of Mayor Sushma Kharkwal and Municipal Commissioner Inderjit Singh.
This transfer station has been set up with the aim of making the waste management system in Lucknow more efficient and well-organized. This Portable Compactor Transfer Station (PCTS) has been designed for efficient collection, and disposal of solid waste. The establishment of this state-of-the-art facility will reduce the time taken in the process of transferring the waste directly and the waste will also be disposed of in a more effective manner. The aim of this initiative is to make Lucknow a clean, green and eco-friendly city.
On this occasion, Urban Development Minister A.K. Sharma said that this 50 MTD capacity Portable Compactor Transfer Station (PCTS) is an important step towards increasing the waste management capacity of Lucknow. This will make the process of garbage disposal in the city more effective, which will provide a clean environment to the citizens and we will be able to set new standards in cleanliness.
This will not only increase the efficiency of waste management, but will also help in preserving the environment of our city. This is an important innovation in waste management, which will make the cleanliness system of Lucknow more strong. This will further strengthen the cleanliness and garbage management plan of Lucknow Municipal Corporation, which will improve the cleanliness system of the city and provide a clean and healthy environment to the city dwellers. On this occasion, other senior officials of Municipal Corporation Lucknow and Mayor Lucknow Swachhata Abhiyan, local public representatives and employees of Municipal Corporation were also present.
