Lucknow: FolkTales Studio is set to launch FolkTales Music Studio, a new initiative aimed at providing better platforms and opportunities to local and young musical talent. The initiative will seek to nurture emerging artists by offering them training, performance opportunities and a platform to showcase their talent before a wider audience.
The launch will be marked by the musical event “Music in Soul”, scheduled to be held on September 12 at Hotel Taj, Lucknow. A press conference and influencers meet was organised at FolkTales Studio on September 9 to announce the initiative.
The concert will feature performances by around 20 musical artists, bringing together experienced performers and young emerging talents on a common platform. One of the key attractions will be around 10-year-old singer and performer Adhyatm Sharma, who has already showcased his singing abilities and lent his voice to projects for T-Series and Doordarshan. The event will also feature a special performance by the father-son duo of Manuj Sharma and Adhyatm Sharma.
FolkTales Music Studio aims to encourage local artists and the next generation of musical talent by providing training, performance opportunities and avenues to reach wider audiences. The initiative is also intended to create new opportunities in music and creative expression.
The initiative was announced following a courtesy meeting with Uttar Pradesh Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh, who appreciated the effort to strengthen the cultural economy and create new opportunities for creative talent. He also extended his best wishes to the FolkTales team.
Speaking about the initiative, FolkTales Director Raj Smriti said the organisation had spent the past 10 years preserving stories and celebrating culture and now wanted to take those stories to a global audience. He described FolkTales as a responsibility towards culture and said the Music Studio would seek to take Indian music to the global stage through emerging talents such as Adhyatm.
The launch marks a new chapter in FolkTales’ decade-long association with art, culture and talent. “Music in Soul” will be the first major presentation of the initiative and will also mark FolkTales’ 10th anniversary celebration. The concert will be held from 5 pm to 8 pm on September 12 at Hotel Taj, Lucknow. Tickets are available through BookMyShow.
