151 Couples Enter Marital Bond at Mass Wedding Ceremony in Lucknow

Lucknow: In a large-scale social initiative promoting community harmony and collective celebration, 151 couples tied the knot at a grand mass wedding ceremony organised by Human Unity Association at Shri Ram Leela and Dussehra Park, LDA Colony on Kanpur Road.

The event brought together families from diverse communities in a well-coordinated ceremony where traditional rituals were performed with full cultural observance. Decorated with festive arrangements, the venue witnessed a vibrant atmosphere as grooms arrived with band processions to meet their brides, who were awaiting them at the wedding stage.

Following the traditional welcoming rituals and exchange of garlands, the couples solemnised their marriages in the mandap amid chants and ceremonial customs. By evening, the newlywed couples departed with their life partners to begin a new chapter of their lives.

As part of a social commitment taken during the event, all couples pledged to oppose female foeticide and promote a drug-free society.

The ceremony was attended by Human Unity Association President L.P. Singh, patron Gaurav Verma, social worker and advocate Mohit Mishra, along with a large number of guests and community members who contributed to the smooth conduct of the event.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, L.P. Singh expressed gratitude to all supporters and collaborators for making the mass wedding a success. He also announced the organisation’s commitment to conducting an even larger mass wedding ceremony next year, aiming to extend support to more couples and families in need.

The initiative was widely appreciated as a meaningful effort toward reducing the financial burden of weddings while promoting social unity and inclusive celebration.
