Lucknow: Visitors Show Special Interest in Lucknow Metro East-West Corridor, Metro Toy Train becomes Children’s First Choice, Train Models of Lucknow, Kanpur, and Agra Win Everyone’s Heart.

The 3 Day Annual Fruit, Vegetables and Flower Exhibition 2025 at Rajbhawan was concluded today with the Prize Distribution Ceremony. Governor Anandiben Patel conferred Sushil Kumar, MD UPMRC with 1st Prize for UPMRC’s beautiful Horticulture display under the ‘Artistic Flower Structural work’ Category.
The flower arrangement showcased by UP metro staff was highly appreciated by attendees of the exhibiton. The metro toy train models at the UPMRC Stall were quite popular and a major attraction for the visitors. In addition to this, people praised the models of Lucknow, Kanpur, and Agra metro trains kept at the stall. At the stall, detailed information was provided with the map of the East-West Corridor of the Lucknow Metro. The visitors at the stall showed special interest in the East-West Corridor.”
UP Metro’s Commitment to Green Initiatives
• UP Metro has always been dedicated to environmental conservation and greenery, resulting in the development of a 1.1 lakh square meter green belt across its metro projects.
• Lucknow Metro: A 65,000 sq. meter green belt has been developed around the metro depot, officers’ colony, Polytechnic Chauraha, KD Singh Babu Stadium, and beneath elevated metro stations.
• Kanpur Metro: A 35,000 sq. meter green belt has been created under the Priority Corridor’s nine operational elevated metro stations.
• Agra Metro: A 1,200 sq. meter green belt has been established.
Sushil Kumar said, “I congratulate entire UPMRC team for putting up a vibrant display of flower arrangements at this year’s flower exhibition. We have undertaken several green initiatives to carry forward our vision of ‘Clean Metro Green Metro’ and to provide a green and sustainable mobility solution to the public.”
Rajbhavan Flower exhibition has been extended for another day ie up to 10th February 2025.
