Unique play helps in laughter therapy

Shri Umapati Theatre Group of Delhi staged comic act ‘All Idiots’ at SRMS Riddhima. Based on Pandit Bhushan’s comedy play Bure Phanse and directed by SP Singh Sengar, the play ‘All Idiots’ depicted the chaos in government work and crime in society through humour and satire.

The story of ‘All Idiots’ is based on the activities of a DSP and his team working in the CID department. The DSP is very upset with the attitude of his illiterate wife and his daughter’s waywardness. The daughter, in greed for money, joins a lady gang and does smuggling. The DSP is surrounded by a group of idiots at home and office. The DSP gets the responsibility of catching the lady gang. This lady gang is carrying out major incidents of smuggling and theft in the city. In the end, the DSP is forced to resign from his post. In the drama, Rose Saini (Dimple), SP Singh Sengar (DSP), Annu Sharma (DSP’s wife), Manju Sharma (DSP’s daughter) along with Atul Nandra and Rachit Mathur have given excellent performances.
