Bareilly : District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar has run a special campaign regarding fire audit, evacuation drill and fire safety system saying fire safety arrangements should be ensured as per the fire risk in restaurants, hospitals, nursing homes (especially children’s hospitals), malls, gaming zones, banquet halls and crowded places and high-rise residential buildings (high rise buildings and apartments) etc. operating in the district, safe escape routes (entry/exit routes) should be ensured, entry of more people than the capacity of the place should be restricted, special publicity should be done regarding fire safety measures and the Resident Welfare Association should be specially alerted and made aware. in view of electrical safety, electrical audit of electrical equipment/wires should be done and instructions should be given to install equipment/wires as per the electrical load and operators should be instructed regarding the deficiencies found in the standard during inspection in view of fire risk.The District Magistrate has directed the concerned officers to take effective action on the above points and provide a joint report of the action taken.
