Lucknow: Results of the post of President, Secretary and Treasurer in Uttar Pradesh State Headquarters Accredited Correspondents Committee Elections 2024-2026 were announced. Senior Journalist, Hemant Tiwari has been elected for the fifth time as the President of the prestigious committee.

Voting for the Uttar Pradesh State Headquarters Accredited Correspondents Committee Elections 2024-2026 were held from 10 am to 4 pm in Tilak Hall of Uttar Pradesh Vidhan Bhavan.
It is known that on August 31, on the request of the Secretariat Administration, the voting of journalists was held in Tilak Hall, Vidhan Bhavan instead of 9 am and the “counting of votes” started at 6 pm.
All candidates were able to watch the voting and counting live through LED Screen sitting in room number 80. A set of three ballot papers approved by the sample committee of ballot papers were given to the voter. The ballot paper for President, Secretary and Treasurer was white, the ballot paper for Vice President, Joint Secretary were yellow and the ballot paper for members wias pink.
All candidates / representative introduction cards were given by Shashvat Tiwari in the Press Room Vidhan Bhavan at 9 am, all candidates were requested to collect their badge card from the press room. All voters had to check their serial number from the list available outside the press room and election venue and come to the counting place with their accreditation card. There were 825 authorized voters in the voter list.
The entire election process was done under camera surveillance, if any candidate or his associate voter misbehaves during voting, disciplinary action was to be taken against him.
After voting, the committee expected that other people except the candidate or his representative will vacate the polling campus area.
Smoking was completely prohibited in the polling campus.
On the day of voting, gate number seven of the Vidhan Bhawan remained open for candidates and voters. Entry was given from gate number seven only after showing the accreditation card. It was mandatory for all members coming in vehicles to show their accreditation card. All candidates and voters were expected to cooperate in the election process.
If any voter was found trying to cast fake vote, then along with disciplinary action, a recommendation was also made to the Information Department to cancel his accreditation.
