Lucknow | Demonstrating promptness, sensitivity, and efficient policing, the Sairpur Police Station successfully recovered a woman’s lost bag and returned it safely to its rightful owner after proper verification.
According to reports, the complainant, Sonali Verma, daughter of Jagdish Rajput, a resident of Maujjam Nagar under Saadatganj police station area, Lucknow, had misplaced her bag while traveling on Sitapur Road. The bag contained approximately ₹3,000 in cash along with important documents and other personal belongings. The loss had caused significant distress to the woman.
Upon receiving information about the incident, Sairpur Police immediately took cognizance of the matter and launched a search operation. Police teams conducted extensive checks in the surrounding areas and gathered inputs from local residents to trace the missing bag.
Acting with diligence, Head Constable Shishupal Singh, Constable Krishna Kumar (No. 6834), and Woman Constable Shivala (No. 1211) actively led the search operation along the Sitapur Road stretch. Based on collected inputs and sustained efforts, the police team successfully located and recovered the lost bag.

After recovery, the contents of the bag, including cash and documents, were carefully verified. Once ownership was confirmed, the bag was duly handed over to Sonali Verma.
Expressing relief and gratitude, the woman appreciated the prompt response, honesty, and dedication of the Sairpur Police team towards public service and assistance.
