Lucknow – Food lovers in the city are in for a royal treat as the ten-day food festival “Rivaayat-e-Rampur” kicks off at Kava Restaurant, Fairfield by Marriott, Gomti Nagar. Running from March 20 to March 30, the festival brings back the forgotten Nawabi flavours of Rampur, offering a nostalgic culinary journey curated by the renowned Qureshi Brothers – Chef Amjad and Chef Safuall Qureshi.

Fairfield’s General Manager Rohit Pandey shared that the hotel consistently strives to offer unique gastronomic experiences. With “Rivaayat-e-Rampur,” the aim is to revive and celebrate the rich culinary heritage of Rampur, known for its slow-cooked delicacies, aromatic spices, and royal cooking techniques.

The festival features a special buffet that includes signature Rampuri dishes like Yakhni Pulao, Tar Gosht Korma, and Adrak ka Halwa, among others. Guests can also enjoy live food stations, themed décor, and soulful music that complements the regal dining experience.

F&B Manager Jitendra Singh highlighted the fusion of food and music to enhance the ambiance, while Executive Chef Ranjan Thakur emphasized that the festival is a tribute to the culinary legacy of Rampur. “This initiative was inspired by the desire to reintroduce the forgotten royal dishes of Rampur. Given Lucknow’s deep-rooted Nawabi traditions, it was the perfect venue to bring this experience to life,” Thakur said.

In an exciting twist, guests can indulge in a glass of Rampur’s premium special whisky for just ₹1 extra, adding a royal touch to their meal.

The Qureshi Brothers, with their mastery in authentic Rampuri cuisine, are ensuring that patrons enjoy an immersive and memorable dining experience. Events like these not only celebrate India’s culinary diversity but also help preserve and pass on traditional flavours to newer generations.
