Lucknow: A special voter awareness rally was organised under the leadership of Prof. Alok Kumar Rai, Vice Chancellor, Lucknow University. Students of SVEEP Unit and NCC Unit of Dayanand Mahavidyalaya, Bachhrawan, Raebareli participated in the rally and sensitised the masses in Bachhrawan market on the importance of voting.
During the rally, the market reverberated with slogans like “Pehle Vote Phir Jalpaan”, “Vote Dalne Jana Hai, Chutti Nahi Manana Hai” and “Chhod Kar Sare Kaam Pehle Kare Vote”. During the campaign, the Vice Chancellor communicated the need for voting to the masses and motivated them to cast their votes.
Chief Registrar, Lucknow University, Prof. Rakesh Dwivedi, Dean-Student Welfare, Prof. Sangeeta Sahu, Dean-CDC, Prof. Awadhesh Tripathi, Dean RAC, Prof. Manuka Khanna and other members of the Board of Registrars were also present in the campaign. Apart from this, teachers and students of the college were also present in large numbers in this campaign.
The aim of the voting awareness rally is to motivate citizens to actively participate in the voting process and respect this important right of democracy. Such awareness campaigns not only increase the importance of voting but are also very important for strengthening democracy.
