Gold-Tipped Pinnacle to Enhance Ram Mandir’s Grandeur

Ayodhya: The Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, one of the most significant religious and cultural projects in India, is progressing steadily towards completion. With key architectural features and auxiliary structures taking shape, the temple is expected to be ready by mid-March 2025, as per the latest update from Nripendra Misra, Chairman of the Ram Mandir Construction Committee.

Gold-Accented 161-Foot Pinnacle to Enhance Temple’s Splendor

One of the temple’s most remarkable architectural highlights is its 161-foot pinnacle, which will soon be adorned with gold accents. This decorative addition will stretch approximately 10 feet from the spire’s highest point, creating a visually stunning effect visible from afar. The use of gold will not only enhance the temple’s grandeur but also symbolize the spiritual and cultural significance of the structure.

Misra has confirmed that while the pace of construction is progressing as planned, the aim is to accelerate the work further. More workers have been brought in, though the workforce remains slightly lower than anticipated. The target remains clear—to complete the temple by mid-March 2025.

Sapt Mandap and Sculptural Masterpieces Nearing Completion

In addition to the main temple, the Sapt Mandap—seven smaller temples surrounding the central shrine—is also expected to be completed by March 2025. These smaller temples are integral to the overall design and spiritual ambiance of the site.

The stone carving and polishing work, which is a critical aspect of the temple’s construction, is nearly 75% finished. One of the standout features, the 500-foot-long Ram Katha sculpture, depicting the story of Lord Ram, is already completed and plans are underway to install it in the coming months. This elaborate sculpture is expected to be one of the temple’s most visited and revered sections.

Guest Amenities to Be Ready by January 2025

As the Ram Mandir prepares to welcome an influx of devotees, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust is working diligently to enhance guest amenities. The construction of a sewage treatment plant, electricity distribution sub-stations, and the Yatri Suvidha Kendra (tourist facilitation center) is progressing rapidly. All of these facilities are expected to be operational by January 2025, ensuring a seamless experience for visitors.

“Our goal is to ensure these auxiliary structures are fully operational and ready to support the influx of devotees,” said Misra.

Temple Milestones and Future Vision

The first floor and sanctum sanctorum of the temple were completed earlier this year, and on January 22, 2024, the idol of Ramlalla—Lord Ram in infant form—was dedicated, marking an important milestone in the temple’s construction.

As the temple nears its final stages, it is poised to become a major spiritual and cultural landmark in India, drawing millions of devotees from across the globe. The Ram Mandir not only represents a significant religious symbol for Hindus but also stands as a testament to the nation’s commitment to preserving its heritage.

With the construction moving forward and the completion date on the horizon, the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is set to become an enduring symbol of faith, culture, and devotion.
