Lucknow | Excel Entertainment and Trigger Happy Studios, known for producing some of India’s most powerful and memorable films, are now gearing up for their next big release — the war drama “120 Bahadur.” The film, inspired by the indomitable courage of Indian soldiers, has already stirred nationalistic emotions with its teaser and posters. Promising an emotional and patriotic cinematic experience, 120 Bahadur celebrates the spirit of heroism and sacrifice.
As part of the film’s musical promotions, the makers hosted a grand launch event in Lucknow for the movie’s first song, “Dada Kishan Ki Jai.” The event saw the presence of the film’s entire cast and crew along with some very special guests — Farhan Akhtar, singer Sukhwinder Singh, Subedar Honorary Captain Ramchandra Yadav, Havildar Nihal Singh (SM), families of the real heroes from the 1962 Indo-China war, and Narpat Singh, son of the legendary Major Shaitan Singh Bhati (PVC).
The emotionally charged event was filled with pride and reverence for India’s brave soldiers. Speaking at the occasion, Farhan Akhtar said, “Lucknow holds a very special place in my heart. It’s an honor to begin the musical journey of this film from here.”
Farhan revealed that “120 Bahadur” will release in theatres on November 21, 2025, adding, “The film’s tagline ‘We will not back down’ will inspire every Indian. It’s not just a line — it’s the essence of our soldiers’ spirit.”
Talking about the song “Dada Kishan Ki Jai,” he shared, “The music has been composed by Salim–Sulaiman, lyrics penned by Javed Akhtar, and it’s powerfully sung by Sukhwinder Singh. The track is a heartfelt tribute to the memory of Indian soldiers who laid down their lives for the nation.”

Set against the backdrop of the 1962 Battle of Rezang La, “120 Bahadur” depicts the courage of the 13 Kumaon Regiment’s 120 soldiers who fought till their last breath under the leadership of Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, who was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra. Farhan Akhtar portrays Major Shaitan Singh in what is being described as one of his most intense and inspiring roles to date.
Directed by Rajneesh ‘Razy’ Ghai and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar (Excel Entertainment), and Amit Chandra (Trigger Happy Studios), the film aims to rekindle the nation’s pride and remind audiences of the valor that defined one of India’s most historic battles.
With its stirring message of courage, unity, and patriotism, “120 Bahadur” is set to march into theatres nationwide on November 21, 2025.
