Bareilly: Avinash Singh has ordered strict action against officials and employees allegedly involved in the misuse of government land records and illegal implementation of revenue proceedings in favour of private individuals in village Jyorha Makrandpur under Nawabganj tehsil of Bareilly district.
According to the district administration, the action was taken after irregularities were found in matters related to government land, where photocopies of official records were allegedly used to facilitate revenue implementation in favour of private parties.
Tehsildar Attached to Collectorate, Officials Suspended
As part of the action, Dushyant Pratap Singh has been removed from Nawabganj tehsil with immediate effect and attached to the district headquarters at the Collectorate.
Similarly, Kanungo Shyam Sunder Gupta and Lekhpal Ramchandra have been suspended with immediate effect over their alleged involvement in the matter.
Alleged Irregularities in Land Allotment Records
The District Magistrate stated that the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister has already issued strict directions that if any government official or employee is found involved in illegal occupation or irregularities related to government land, and has previously faced suspension twice, dismissal proceedings should also be initiated against them.

According to information provided by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Nawabganj, land allotments were made in village Jyorha Makrandpur in 2013. Prima facie findings suggest that tampering and manipulation of records may have taken place in relation to Plot No. 16.
Officials stated that proceedings under Section 38 were reportedly advanced by the Kanungo without the mandatory report of the Lekhpal. It was further alleged that the Tehsildar forwarded the matter to the court of the Judicial Sub-Divisional Magistrate without proper verification, and implementation was carried out on the basis of photocopied documents.
Following these findings, Avinash Singh ordered disciplinary action against the officials found prima facie responsible in the case.
