District Magistrate Inspects Development Works at Lilaur Lake in Bareilly

Bareilly: Avinash Singh conducted a field inspection of the ongoing development works at Lilaur Lake in Aonla tehsil of Bareilly district.

During the inspection, the District Magistrate reviewed various tourism and infrastructure-related projects being developed around the lake area. He also took a boating ride in the lake and instructed officials to ensure that all safety standards are strictly maintained for visitors.

The District Magistrate also travelled on the family train operating at the site and appreciated its functioning. He directed officials from the Basic Education Department and Secondary Education Department to organise picnic tours for school students from Ram Nagar and Majhgawan blocks to the lake site in order to promote educational and recreational exposure.

Directions Issued for Beautification and Tourism Development

To enhance the beauty and tourism potential of the lake, Avinash Singh instructed the Horticulture Department, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate concerned, and the Fisheries Department to accelerate beautification and pond-related development works.

He also inspected the under-construction guest house, mandapam (gazebo), pergola structures, boundary wall, and chain-link fencing works at the site.

The Executive Engineer of the Rural Engineering Department was directed to ensure the development of public utility facilities such as a cafeteria and drinking water arrangements for visitors.

Focus on Quality, Transparency and Environmental Conservation

The District Magistrate further instructed officials to expedite tourism department-approved projects related to the development of Lilaur Lake. He emphasized that all works must be completed within the stipulated timeline while maintaining prescribed quality standards.

During the inspection, he reviewed progress related to beautification, environmental conservation, water conservation, and public amenities in the lake area. He directed officials to ensure transparency and quality in all development activities so that better facilities can be provided to the public.

The Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Aonla and other concerned officials were also present during the inspection.
