Bareilly: The meeting of the committee formed for silt cleaning of canals/rivers/drains was held under the chairmanship of the District Magistrate.
Under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar, a meeting of the committee formed for silt cleaning of canals/rivers/drains was held in Vikas Bhawan auditorium.
Instructions were given in the meeting that the work of silt cleaning of canals should be done as per the government order and within the stipulated time limit. The work of silt cleaning of those canals for which complaints have been received from farmers regarding cleaning on IGRS in the last one year, should be done on priority basis. Apart from this, the canals whose silt cleaning work has not been done in the last one or two years must be kept in a list and that list should also be made public. The work should be determined as per the budget and tenders etc. should be made in anticipation of the budget so that the work can be started as soon as the budget comes.
