Lucknow: Bhatkhande Sanskriti University successfully organised speech and story writing competitions aimed at promoting women empowerment, social awareness, and patriotism among students, in compliance with directives from Raj Bhavan Uttar Pradesh.
The speech competition was held at 12 noon, witnessing participation from seven students who presented compelling views on topics such as “Women Empowerment,” “Vision of a Developed India,” and “My Favourite Artist.” Demonstrating strong articulation and thoughtful perspectives, Anchal Verma secured the first position, followed by Trisha Mishra in second place, and Naitik Singh Rajput in third.
Participants effectively highlighted themes of cultural values, environmental awareness, and social responsibility through their speeches. The event also featured a story writing competition on themes “Hamara Lucknow” and “Anand Math,” which saw enthusiastic participation from 16 students. Sushma Negi won the first prize, while Parth Mishra secured second place and Priya Rawat finished third.

Vice Chancellor Prof Mandvi Singh, addressing the gathering, said such initiatives play a vital role in nurturing creativity while instilling a sense of social responsibility, patriotism, and awareness about women empowerment among students. She reaffirmed the university’s commitment to organising similar activities for the holistic development of learners.
Registrar Dr Srishti Dhawan added that such competitions strengthen confidence, discipline, and social consciousness among students. She noted that the university continues to emphasise co-curricular engagement alongside academics to foster ethical and social values.
The event concluded on a positive note, reflecting the institution’s ongoing efforts to encourage intellectual and creative expression among its students.
