New Delhi: On the lines of IPL, Delhi Premier League (DPL) started in the capital Delhi. Team India’s experienced players Rishabh Pant and Ishant Sharma are ready to surprise the fans with their brilliant performance for Purani Dilli 6 in the inaugural edition of Delhi Premier League at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.
Purani Dilli-6 faced South Delhi Superstars (DPL) in their opening match of Delhi Premier League. This inaugural match was played on 17 August. This is also the first match of DPL. Purani Dilli 6 has a strong team with explosive wicketkeeper Pant and experienced fast bowler Ishant Sharma. The franchise has also acquired the services of all-rounder Lalit Yadav and batting all-rounder Shivam Sharma. Purani Dilli 6 has also included 20-year-old opener and off-spinner Arpit Rana and right-arm fast bowler Prince Yadav in the team.

Team owner Akash Nangia said, “We are thrilled to start the DPL (Delhi Premier League 2024) with such an exciting lineup. The first edition of the Delhi Premier League will have 40 matches, including 33 men’s and 7 women’s matches. All matches will be held at the iconic Arun Jaitley Stadium. The tournament will run from August 17 to September 8.
