Rae Bareli: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Rae Bareli, has completed two successful years of its e-Sanjeevani and Tele-MANAS digital health services, marking a significant milestone in expanding access to specialist healthcare through technology. During the two-year period, a total of 4,46,201 patients received consultations and medical services through the digital platforms.
The services were introduced with the objective of making specialist medical consultation more accessible, particularly for patients living in remote and rural areas. Initially launched with 10 OPD services, the programme has been progressively expanded. At present, AIIMS Rae Bareli provides specialist consultations through 12 super-speciality OPDs and one screening OPD.
Digital healthcare platforms such as e-Sanjeevani and Tele-MANAS have helped bridge geographical barriers, enabling patients to seek expert medical advice without having to travel long distances. The services have also contributed to saving patients both time and resources while improving access to quality healthcare closer to their homes.
To mark the completion of two years, Executive Director Dr Amita Jain felicitated and encouraged healthcare personnel by presenting them with certificates. Deputy Director (Administration) Colonel Akhilesh Singh, Financial Adviser Colonel U.N. Rai, Nodal Officer Dr Suyash Singh, ANS Ravi Bishnoi, faculty members, nursing officers and other healthcare workers were present on the occasion.
AIIMS Rae Bareli said it remains committed to making healthcare services more accessible, inclusive and patient-centric. The institute aims to further leverage digital platforms to ensure that specialist healthcare reaches a larger section of the population.
