Prayagraj: In Uttar Pradesh, efforts continue to give a grand, divine and new look to the Mahakumbh (Mahakumbh 2025). Under this, now work is on to give a new look to the dhabas, restaurants and hotels to provide better facilities on the main routes to the tourists and devotees reaching the Mahakumbh. The Yogi government is giving them subsidy.
Dhabas, restaurants and hotels falling on the main routes will be smarter
Aparajita Singh, Regional Tourism Officer of Prayagraj, said that to make the experience of the tourists and devotees coming to Prayagraj, the Yogi government is going to make the major dhabas, restaurants and hotels falling on the main routes smart. For this, 75 of their representatives have been selected, who are being given online training from Friday. These include dhabas, restaurants and hotels falling on Lucknow Prayagraj, Kanpur Prayagraj, Rewa Prayagraj, Chitrakoot Prayagraj, Mirzapur Prayagraj and Varanasi Prayagraj route.
Focus on food, seating arrangements and cleanliness points in the training
These selected dhabas, restaurants and hotels coming on the main routes of Maha Kumbh were lacking basic facilities. In such a situation, a plan has been prepared to give a new look to the kitchen, sitting area and parking place. Along with this, training is being given to the selected representatives. Apart from this, the representatives are being given both support and subsidy by the government.
The new tourism policy of the state has immense possibilities of taking religious, spiritual and cultural tourism to new heights along with agro and eco tourism in the state. 22 new activities have been added to it. It includes wellness resorts, heritage home stays, budget hotels, heritage hotels, star hotels, units of eco tourism, caravan tourism, units, exhibitions, pilgrimages, dharamshalas, all weather seasonal camps, reservoirs, lakes, wellness tourism and adventure tourism. To expand this, big dhabas, restaurants and hotels on major routes have been included. They are also being given a subsidy of 25 percent on the amount given for investment.
