Raebareli: AIIMS Raebareli has launched a dedicated bronchoscopy facility, enabling patients requiring the specialised respiratory procedure to undergo the examination at the institute itself instead of travelling to other centres.
The facility was formally inaugurated at 10:30 am by Executive Director Professor (Dr) Amita Jain, who inaugurated the service by cutting the ribbon. The bronchoscopy facility will be available at AIIMS Raebareli every Tuesday and Thursday.
The inauguration was attended by Additional Medical Superintendent Dr Neeraj Kumar Srivastava, Deputy Medical Superintendent Dr Kumar Dharmendra, Emergency Faculty In-charge Dr Pranabh Kushwaha, and doctors from the Department of Pulmonary Medicine, including Dr Krishna Priya and Dr Sumit Kumar Jain. Doctors from various departments, nursing personnel and other staff members were also present.
Bronchoscopy is an important diagnostic procedure used to examine the respiratory tract and lungs. It can help doctors identify and evaluate a range of respiratory and pulmonary conditions and, where required, assist in carrying out certain therapeutic procedures.
With the introduction of the facility at AIIMS Raebareli, patients are expected to benefit from easier access to specialised respiratory care, reduced dependence on outside diagnostic centres and more timely medical evaluation.
The launch is part of AIIMS Raebareli’s continuing efforts to expand advanced healthcare services and strengthen the availability of specialised treatment facilities within the institute.
The availability of bronchoscopy at the institute is expected to be particularly beneficial for patients requiring detailed evaluation of respiratory symptoms and suspected lung-related disorders. The facility will also support specialists in making more informed diagnoses and determining appropriate treatment strategies.
AIIMS Raebareli has been progressively expanding its clinical services with a focus on providing modern, accessible and quality healthcare to patients in the region. The addition of bronchoscopy services marks another step towards strengthening specialised pulmonary and respiratory care at the institute.
