Alambagh, Lucknow : Navyug Public School, Alambagh, marked India’s 80th Independence Day with a vibrant celebration that combined patriotic tradition with cultural showcase, drawing enthusiastic participation from students, staff and invited guests.
The programme began with the customary Flag Hoisting Ceremony on the school campus. As the National Anthem played and the Tricolour was unfurled, students and teachers stood together in a moment marked by visible pride and unity.
The event was attended by Dr. Vaibhav Khanna, Director of Health City Hospital, who was present as the guest of honour. Also gracing the occasion were School Director Hemant Dayal, Vikas Sharma, and Principal Dr. Anupriya Dayal, all of whom addressed the gathering and commended the students’ preparation and enthusiasm.
Young Students Showcase “Unity in Diversity”
The highlight of the morning was a themed walk performed by the school’s youngest students, who appeared dressed in traditional attire representing different states of India — including Kashmir, Kerala, Gujarat, Assam, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu. The segment, organised under the banner “Unity in Diversity,” aimed to highlight India’s cultural plurality within a shared national identity. The performance was well received by parents and staff in attendance, many of whom praised the coordination and effort put in by the young participants and their teachers.
School officials said the celebration was intended not only to commemorate the nation’s independence but also to reinforce values of unity, diversity and collective aspiration among students.
The event concluded with the school management extending thanks to teachers, staff and students for their contribution to the day’s success, and reaffirming the institution’s commitment to nurturing patriotic values among its students.
