Bareilly: Bareilly District Magistrate Avinash Singh participated in the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan 2026 and flagged off a Tiranga Yatra of motorcycles and scooters from Bishop Mandal Inter College on Wednesday.
The rally began at 9 am and proceeded from Bishop Mandal Inter College to the Sports Stadium, where it concluded. A large number of citizens participated in the procession, carrying the national flag and raising patriotic slogans.
Later at 5 pm, officials and employees of the Panchayati Raj Department, Rural Development Department and other government departments took part in a foot march as part of the campaign. The rally started from the Vikas Bhawan campus and passed through Gandhi Udyan, Chowki Chauraha and the area in front of the District Magistrate’s residence before concluding at the Collectorate campus.
Addressing participants, District Magistrate Avinash Singh said the objective of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign is to strengthen the spirit of patriotism, national unity and respect for the Tricolour among citizens. He said the national flag is a symbol of the country’s pride and honour, and every citizen has a responsibility to respect it and contribute towards strengthening India’s unity and integrity.
The District Magistrate appealed to officials, employees and members of the public to ensure the success of the campaign through active public participation and to hoist the Tricolour respectfully at their homes and establishments. He said such events help strengthen patriotism and national consciousness among young people and the new generation.
The Tiranga Yatra witnessed considerable enthusiasm, with participants carrying the national flag and raising patriotic slogans. Singh also urged officials to ensure active participation in the Tiranga Yatra scheduled to be held on August 14.
Chief Development Officer Devyani, Municipal Commissioner Sanjeev Kumar Maurya, Joint Magistrate/Sub-Divisional Magistrate Sadar Ishita Kishore, Additional District Magistrate (City) Avinash Tripathi, Additional District Magistrate (Administration) Purnima Singh, along with a large number of officials, employees, ITBP personnel and members of the public, participated enthusiastically in the programme.
