Bareilly: District Magistrate Avinash Singh chaired a comprehensive review meeting at the Collectorate Auditorium to assess the progress of the Ayushman Card enrollment campaign and the ongoing Special Communicable Disease Control and Dastak Campaign. Senior health officials, block-level medical officers, and district administrators participated in the meeting.
During the review, the District Magistrate emphasized the need to accelerate the issuance of Ayushman Cards to all eligible beneficiaries. He directed the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Dr. Vishram Singh, to assign specific targets to all Community Health Centres (CHCs) and Primary Health Centres (PHCs) and conduct intensive campaigns to maximize coverage.
Highlighting areas with a high number of pending applications, Singh instructed officials to organize village-level outreach camps and public meetings to ensure that eligible residents receive their cards without delay. He stressed that negligence in the implementation of this flagship welfare initiative would not be tolerated.
The District Magistrate also directed doctors and healthcare staff at all CHCs and PHCs to ensure that data related to newly issued Ayushman Cards is promptly uploaded to the designated online portal. He further instructed the Chief Medical Officer to conduct weekly block-level review meetings to monitor progress and address bottlenecks.
Describing the Ayushman Card scheme as one of the key priorities of the state government and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Mr. Singh noted that its progress is regularly reviewed at the highest administrative levels through video conferencing and other monitoring mechanisms.
In addition, he instructed all doctors posted at CHCs and PHCs to remain available at their respective healthcare facilities during designated working hours before undertaking inspection duties elsewhere, ensuring uninterrupted medical services for the public.

Reviewing the Special Communicable Disease Control Campaign, the District Magistrate directed officials to provide timely reports on awareness rallies and outreach activities conducted under the campaign. He stressed the importance of expanding public awareness under the Dastak Campaign to educate citizens about disease prevention and early detection.
Concerned about rising cases of vector-borne diseases, he instructed health authorities to intensify fogging operations and anti-larval spraying in villages reporting higher incidences of dengue and malaria. Preventive measures, he said, should be undertaken proactively to curb the spread of seasonal diseases.
The District Magistrate also directed officials to ensure regular inspection and monitoring of Jan Arogya Melas organized across the district, emphasizing the need for active participation of medical officers and quality healthcare services at these health camps.
The meeting was attended by Chief Development Officer Devyani, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Vishram Singh, District Inspector of Schools Ajit Singh, and doctors from various CHCs and PHCs across the district.
Officials reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery, expanding Ayushman Bharat coverage, and ensuring effective implementation of communicable disease control measures to safeguard public health across Bareilly district.
