Lucknow: District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan chaired a review meeting of the Skill Development Mission at the Collectorate Auditorium to assess the progress of ongoing training programmes and employment generation initiatives in the district. The meeting focused on expanding access to skill-based training for young men and women and linking them with self-employment and private-sector job opportunities.
During the meeting, the District Magistrate directed the District Coordinator of the Skill Development Mission to intensify awareness and outreach efforts so that a larger number of youth can benefit from government-sponsored training programmes. She emphasized the need to provide high-quality, industry-relevant training aligned with the interests of trainees and local employment prospects, ensuring better job placement outcomes upon course completion.

Priyanka Niranjan instructed officials to prioritize training in employment-oriented sectors, including agriculture, automotive, construction, electronics, food processing, media and entertainment, plumbing, handicrafts and carpets, beauty and wellness, tourism and hospitality, IT and IT-enabled services, retail, and other high-demand trades. She stressed that training programmes should be designed in accordance with market and industry requirements to enhance employability.
