Health Fair Organised at Rohilkhand University, Specialist Doctors Conduct Comprehensive Medical Check-ups

Bareilly: A special Health Fair and Medical Check-up Camp was organised at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University (MJPRU), Bareilly under the guidance and inspiration of Vice-Chancellor Prof. K.P. Singh. The event was jointly organised by the University Health Centre and Rajshree Research Medical Institute, Bareilly, with the objective of promoting health awareness and preventive healthcare among the university community.

The health camp was conducted from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and witnessed enthusiastic participation from teachers, officers, employees, students, security personnel, and outsourced staff members of the university.

A team of specialist doctors provided health screening and medical consultation services during the event. The medical panel included Dr. Shivam Verma (MBBS, MD), Dr. S. C. Srivastava (MD, Psychiatry), Dr. Rajat, along with their experienced healthcare team.

Participants underwent a range of medical examinations, including blood pressure monitoring, blood sugar testing, and general health assessments. The camp also offered expert consultations aimed at identifying health concerns at an early stage and promoting overall well-being.

In addition to physical health screenings, doctors conducted awareness sessions on mental health, stress management, healthy lifestyles, balanced nutrition, and the importance of regular exercise. Participants received medical advice, prescriptions where required, recommendations for further diagnostic tests, and guidance on maintaining good health. Common medicines, multivitamins, and health supplements were also distributed during the programme.

The event was attended by Prof. Vinay Rishiwal, Dean of Student Welfare; Mahendra Kumar, Registrar of the University; and Dr. Amit Kumar Verma, Administrator of the University Health Centre, along with several university officials and staff members.

Addressing the gathering, Vice-Chancellor Prof. K.P. Singh emphasized that the university is committed not only to academic excellence but also to the overall health and well-being of its students and employees.

“Healthy minds and healthy bodies are the foundation of quality education and research. Such health camps play a vital role in the early detection of diseases and in creating awareness about preventive healthcare,” he said, stressing the need for regular health-related initiatives in educational institutions.

Dean of Student Welfare Prof. Vinay Rishiwal said that the university administration is committed to providing quality healthcare services and counselling support to students, teachers, and staff members from time to time. He noted that mental health has become as important as physical health in today’s fast-paced environment and highlighted the special focus placed on stress management and psychological well-being during the health fair.

He also expressed gratitude to the Health Centre and the medical team from Rajshree Research Medical Institute for their support and contribution to the successful organisation of the programme.

Participants appreciated the efforts of the university administration and the medical professionals, expressing hope that such health camps would be organised regularly in the future. University officials acknowledged the significant role played by Dr. Amit Kumar Verma, in-charge of the Health Centre, in ensuring the successful execution of the event.
