Lucknow: A grand release ceremony of ‘Saare Geet Tumhare’, the debut song collection of young Raebareli-based lyricist Saurabh Shukla, was organised at Nirala Auditorium of the Hindi Sansthan under the aegis of Pranjal Publications.

The book was formally unveiled by distinguished guests including Girish Chandra Mishra, Vice Chairman of Lalit Kala Akademi Uttar Pradesh, senior lyricist Anjani Kumar Singh, eminent scholar Prof. Surya Prasad Dixit, Acharya Om Neerav, Dr. Amita Dubey, noted poet-critic Dr. Ashok Agyaani, and revered saint Brahmarshi Vimalanand Saraswati of Naimisharanya.

Addressing the gathering as the keynote speaker, Acharya Om Neerav described a song as “a disciplined yet flowing stream of inspired emotions,” where the refrain acts as the source, verses become beautiful riverbanks, and the conclusion merges into an infinite ocean of expression.

Saint Brahmarshi Vimalanand Saraswati highlighted the ancient roots of lyrical poetry, stating that songs originated from the Samaveda and have continued as an uninterrupted tradition through centuries. Praising Saurabh Shukla’s compositions, he said the simplicity and emotional depth of the songs would resonate strongly with readers and earn a special place in Hindi literature.

Renowned poet, litterateur and critic Dr. Ashok Agyaani observed that the collection reflects both youthful sensitivity and surprising maturity. He remarked that while the poet has gracefully portrayed themes of love with dignity, he has also incorporated important social and national concerns into his songs.

Dr. Amita Dubey, Principal Editor of Uttar Pradesh Hindi Sansthan, described the book as a reassuring contribution to Hindi literature. She noted that the work of a young lyricist nurtured in a rural environment carries freshness, authenticity and emotional warmth.

Senior poet Anjani Kumar Singh praised the clarity and natural flow of the compositions, saying there was no unnecessary complexity in the collection. He added that Saurabh Shukla’s poetic skill and natural literary talent were evident throughout the work.

Speaking as the chief guest, Minister of State rank dignitary Girish Chandra Mishra said he had heard many of the songs at literary gatherings over the years and believed that anyone with even a slight interest in poetry would be deeply moved by Saurabh’s writing.

In his presidential address, eminent scholar Prof. Surya Prasad Dixit remarked that the collection opens new possibilities for the revival and renewed popularity of lyrical poetry in contemporary Hindi literature.

The event witnessed the presence of hundreds of writers, poets and literary enthusiasts from across the Awadh region, including Piyush Singh, representative of Legislative Council member Pawan Singh Chauhan.
