New Delhi: As soaring temperatures continue to affect daily life, Being Responsible has intensified its annual “Dana-Pani” campaign to provide food and water for birds and stray animals struggling during the harsh summer season.
For nearly four years, the organisation has carried forward the initiative with the message that voiceless creatures also experience thirst, hunger and suffering. This year, volunteers distributed more than 200 earthen water bowls and grain packets across different parts of the city to help birds and animals survive the extreme heat.
The campaign encourages residents to place clay water bowls outside their homes, balconies and rooftops and refill them regularly. According to the organisation, even a small effort can become a lifeline for countless birds and animals searching for water in rapidly urbanising areas where trees and natural water sources are disappearing.

Members of Being Responsible said the initiative is not merely a social activity but a reflection of compassion, coexistence and environmental responsibility. Over the years, the campaign has inspired many citizens to voluntarily participate and support the welfare of voiceless creatures during the summer months.
