Divisional Commissioner Reviews Udyog Bandhu Committee and GBC Progress in Bareilly

Bareilly: A comprehensive review meeting of the Divisional Udyog Bandhu Committee and Ground Breaking Ceremony (GBC) 1 to 5 projects was held under the chairmanship of Bhupendra S. Chaudhary at the Commissionerate auditorium.

During the meeting, officials reviewed key industrial development initiatives and infrastructure projects across the Bareilly division. The Secretary of the Bareilly Development Authority informed that progress is underway on the Nath Dham MSME Township Scheme. Approval has been granted for the purchase of 126.30 hectares of land across four villages—Rasoola Chaudhary, Mitaura Naugawan (Fatehganj West), Chitauli, and Rahpura Jagir—through mutual agreement with landowners. The land acquisition process formally commenced on April 22, 2026.

Representatives of Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority apprised the meeting about the proposal to establish a fire station in the Parsakhera industrial area. A plot (B-29) is being subdivided and reserved for this purpose, with plans also including construction of a UPSIDA office and a data centre.

Industrial stakeholders raised concerns regarding water drainage issues in the Bhojipura Industrial Estate. Acting on this, the Divisional Commissioner directed the Deputy Commissioner (Industries) to expedite efforts for budget allocation and present progress in the next meeting.

On the issue of uninterrupted power supply in Parsakhera and C.B. Ganj industrial areas, the Chief Engineer reported that additional staff had been deployed, a step welcomed by entrepreneurs. The matter was subsequently removed from the agenda.

Concerns were also raised by industrialists regarding discrepancies between mandi gate passes and e-way bill timings, particularly affecting agro-based industries. Officials from the mandi department informed that a new digital portal is under development and is expected to be implemented by May 2026, addressing these issues.
