Bareilly: Exciting matches marked the third day of the Shri Ram Murti Memorial Inter School Football Tournament Season 2, as all four quarterfinal clashes were played, producing four strong semifinalists—DPS, Hartmann College, Army Public School Senior Wing, and Child Care Bishop Conrad School.
In the first quarterfinal held at the football stadium, DPS defeated Sobti Public School 4–2 in a competitive match. Amrit Pal, Advay, Shaurya, and Mohammad Shishan scored for DPS to secure their place in the semifinals.
The second quarterfinal witnessed a dominant performance by Hartmann College, which outclassed SR International School with a convincing 5–0 victory. Sai Mehta, Abhinav Katiyar, Mahad Khan, Kavyansh Khanna, and Jaskaran Singh found the net for Hartmann.
Army Public School Senior Wing delivered the most emphatic win of the day, thrashing Krishna Public School 9–0 in the third quarterfinal. Harshit Sahi scored a शानदार hat-trick, while Daksh, Aryan Singh, Vansh, Ishant Dev, and Rajesh added one goal each.
In the fourth quarterfinal, Child Care Bishop Conrad School edged past Army Public School Junior Wing with a 2–1 win. Rituraj scored both goals for Child Care, while Lavish netted the lone goal for APS Junior Wing.
The semifinals are scheduled for Friday, where DPS will face Child Care Bishop Conrad School in the first match, and Hartmann College will take on Army Public School Senior Wing in the second.
The matches were attended by Moon Robinson, Secretary of the Bareilly District Football Association, and international football player and coach Naseem Akhtar, who encouraged the young players throughout the event.
