AIIMS Raebareli Celebrates First Research Carnival, Promotes Innovation and Academic Excellence

Raebareli: All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Raebareli celebrated its “First Research Carnival” with great enthusiasm, marking a significant milestone in fostering a culture of research and innovation within the institute.

The event was graced by chief guest Prof. R. K. Dhiman, Director of Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, whose presence added prestige to the occasion. In his address, Prof. Dhiman inspired participants with his vision of strengthening research ecosystems in medical institutions and encouraged young researchers to undertake impactful and practical research.

The keynote lecture was delivered by Dr. Koteshwar R. Jeripothula from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, who spoke on “Machine Learning in Healthcare,” highlighting emerging trends and applications of artificial intelligence in modern medicine.

Executive Director Prof. Amita Jain emphasized the critical role of research in improving patient care and advancing medical science. Dean (Research) Prof. Archana Verma presented a comprehensive report on the Institutional Research Cell (IRC), outlining the institute’s research progress and future roadmap.

Awards and Highlights

One of the key highlights of the event was the “Best Paper Presentation Session,” where undergraduate and postgraduate students showcased their research work.

  • In the undergraduate poster category, Divyanshu Mohan Arya secured first place, while Akshat Pandey won second.
  • The “Best PG Thesis Award” was awarded to Dr. Neha Noharia (first) and Dr. Aastha Kesarwani (second).
  • A total of 14 faculty members were honoured with the “Best Research Publication Award.”
  • The Department of Biochemistry received the “Best Department in Research” award.

The event witnessed the presence of Dean (Academics) Prof. Neeraj Kumari, Dean (Examination) Prof. Pragati Garg, Deputy Director (Administration) Colonel Akhilesh Singh, Financial Advisor Colonel U N Rai, Additional Medical Superintendent Dr. Neeraj Kumar Srivastava, along with faculty members, officials, and students.

The successful event underscored AIIMS Raebareli’s growing commitment to advancing medical research and nurturing future innovators in healthcare.
