Indian Army to Organize ‘Gaurav Senani Samaroh’ in Churu, Over 6,000 Ex-Servicemen to Benefit

Jaipur | The Indian Army will organize a large-scale “Gaurav Senani Samaroh” in Churu district of Rajasthan on March 8 to honour ex-servicemen, war widows and their families. The event is being conducted under the Sapta Shakti Command by the Ranbankura Division.

The ceremony will take place at SAI Sports Stadium and is expected to benefit more than 6,000 ex-servicemen and their families from all eight tehsils of Churu district. Senior Army officers and representatives from the civil administration are also scheduled to attend the programme.

According to officials, the primary aim of the event is to honour veterans and establish direct communication with them while reaffirming the Army’s commitment to their welfare.

A special welfare camp will be organized during the programme to address pension-related issues. Assistance will be provided through the SPARSH Pension System, with officials from record offices and the Controller of Defence Accounts present to help resolve pension and banking matters.

Several stalls will also be set up by the civil administration to address land and legal issues faced by veterans. Services related to Aadhaar and information about various government welfare schemes will also be available.

A medical camp will provide health services including general health check-ups, dental care and consultations with specialist doctors for veterans and their families.

Representatives from the Army Welfare Placement Organisation will also participate, offering guidance on skill development, career counselling and employment opportunities for former soldiers through its nationwide network.

Another highlight of the event will be an exhibition of military equipment showcasing the operational capabilities and traditions of the Indian Army. During the ceremony, ex-servicemen, war widows and Veer Naris will be honoured for their contribution and sacrifices in service of the nation.
