Lucknow: The Yogashakti Ceremony 2026, organized by Yogakulam Human Welfare Society, took place on Friday at the Rai Umanath Bali Auditorium of Bhatkhande Sanskrit University in Kaiserbagh, Lucknow, celebrating Indian culture and the legacy of yoga.
The event commenced with a ceremonial lamp lighting and Saraswati Vandana performed by founder Dr. Manish Pratap Singh, chief guest yoga guru Sudhir Sharma, Yogakulam yoga teacher Vikash Singh Rajput, and water yoga expert Roma Ji. In his address, chief guest Sudhir Sharma remarked, “Yoga is no longer limited to sages; it has now become one of the most effective ways to combat diseases.”
Established in Lucknow in 2012, Yogakulam places Indian yoga philosophy at the heart of its curriculum. Its courses integrate life lessons from the Bhagavad Gita and the enduring values of Sanatan culture, promoting holistic development alongside physical well-being.
Speaking at the ceremony, founder Dr. Manish Pratap Singh emphasized, “When yoga remains connected to its roots, it can truly benefit society. Yoga is not just about postures; it is about harmony within the family, self-reliance, and building a better society together. This is a time for cooperation, not competition.” He highlighted that thousands of Yogakulam graduates leave the institution not only as skilled yoga practitioners but also as ambassadors of Indian life values.

During the event, students from across India who completed diploma courses received certificates, with satisfaction and confidence evident on their faces. The ceremony also honored distinguished yoga teachers from across the state with state-level awards, including Satyam Singh, Roma, Dolly, Deepak, Hrithik, R.K. Mishra, Amrita Gupta, Jwala Singh, Shweta Singh, Rahul, Disha, Nidhi, Vikash Singh, and Archana.
The event was anchored by Sarvesh Mishra, and concluded with Dr. Singh extending best wishes to future yoga teachers and assuring lifelong guidance and support. A colorful Holi Milan celebration marked the grand finale, adding a festive spirit to the ceremony.
Several students shared their experiences on stage, expressing that Yogakulam had imparted not just yoga skills but also discipline, self-confidence, and guidance for their careers.
