Lucknow : The 8-member student team of City Montessori School, Rajendra Nagar Campus I, has brought laurels to the institution by securing the first prize in the district-level Group Singing Competition. The competition was organized under the aegis of the cultural organization Bharat Vikas Parishad. This information was given by Rishi Khanna, Head, Communications, CMS.
Khanna informed that the CMS Rajendra Nagar Campus I students who enhanced the school’s prestige through their musical talent include: Maitri Awasthi, Tanisha Srivastava, Rishita Rishikesh, Agrima Kaushal, Crystal Chandra, Aadya Agrawal, Vaniya Tiwari, and – Kulsum Izhaar. In this prestigious competition, these talented students showcased their musical excellence through powerful group renditions of the Hindi song “Hum Bangali, Hum Punjabi…”, the Sanskrit song “Saadaram Sameehtam Vandana Vidheeytaam…” and the folk song “Saathi Re Shyam Nahi Ghar Aaye…”.
Their performances not only highlighted their musical brilliance but also conveyed messages of India’s great civilization, rich cultural heritage, and the spirit of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’. The organizers honoured the winning team with a shield, certificates, and other attractive gifts. CMS Founder-Director Dr. Bharti Gandhi praised the multifaceted talents of CMS students, wished them a bright future and expressed gratitude to the campus Principal and teachers.

Khanna added that CMS provides its students with physical, social, and spiritual education while also cultivating their interest in cultural and literary fields. Recognizing students’ talents and encouraging them is an integral part of the CMS philosophy. As a result, CMS students excel not only academically but also in areas such as music, dance, literature, and art, establishing a distinct identity in these fields.
