Shahjahanpur: On the occasion of Police Memorial Day, a special traffic awareness programme was organized in front of the Roadways Bus Stand under the leadership of Superintendent of Police Rajesh Dwivedi and Circle Officer (Traffic) Sanjay Kumar Singh, with coordination by Traffic In-Charge Vinay Kumar Pandey. The initiative aimed to spread awareness about road safety and encourage the public to follow traffic rules diligently.
Promoting Safe Driving Habits
During the programme, motorists were urged to wear helmets and seat belts while driving, emphasizing that the use of safety gear can significantly reduce injuries and fatalities in road accidents. In a heartening gesture, those who were seen complying with traffic regulations were honoured with roses and chocolates as a token of appreciation for their responsible conduct.
Inspiring Young Minds
A parallel awareness session was also organized at Aakanksha School, Rausar Kothi, where students were educated about the importance of road safety. Officers explained the meaning of various traffic signs, safe road-crossing practices, and the life-saving significance of helmets and seat belts. The interactive session aimed to nurture responsible habits among young citizens, encouraging them to not only follow safety norms themselves but also spread awareness among their families.

Building a Culture of Safety
Such programmes play a vital role in fostering a culture of responsible driving and public discipline. By honouring rule-abiding citizens and educating the next generation, Shahjahanpur Police demonstrated their commitment to reducing road accidents and ensuring safer streets for all.
The initiative highlighted that road safety is a shared responsibility, and with cooperation between the police and the public, a more secure and organized traffic environment can be achieved.
