CM Yogi Adityanath Meets PM Modi in Delhi, Discusses Key UP Projects Including Jewar Airport Inauguration
New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on Saturday in what was described as a courtesy call but has since stirred political speculation. This rare face-to-face interaction between the two leaders lasted for approximately 30 minutes.
While official details about the meeting were not released by either the PMO or CMO, sources suggest that CM Yogi briefed the Prime Minister on several key projects underway in Uttar Pradesh. A major highlight was the Jewar Airport project, touted to be Asia’s largest airport, for which the Chief Minister reportedly sought a time slot from the Prime Minister for its formal inauguration.
CM Yogi took to social media to share a photograph with PM Modi, captioning it:
“Had a cordial meeting with the world’s most popular leader, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji, in New Delhi today and received his invaluable guidance. Heartfelt thanks for your precious time, Prime Minister Ji!”

The post also featured a bouquet presentation and images showing the CM holding a thick official file, hinting at a detailed agenda.
Following the meeting with PM Modi, Yogi Adityanath visited BJP national president JP Nadda at his residence. The Chief Minister greeted Nadda with a saffron stole and bouquet. According to sources, they discussed the recent joint campaigns run by the state government and the party organization, including UP’s record-breaking tree plantation drive. CM Yogi held meetings with all MPs and MLAs regarding this initiative and participated in plantation drives in Ayodhya, Gorakhpur, and Varanasi on the same day.
The final stop in Yogi Adityanath’s Delhi visit was a meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, which reportedly lasted around 45 minutes. The two leaders had last met in Varanasi a month ago. Their discussions are speculated to have touched upon both governance and internal party matters.
With the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections on the horizon and the BJP’s state unit presidency still undecided following the recent Lok Sabha performance, these meetings have sparked intense discussions within political circles about potential organizational and cabinet changes in the state.
