Lucknow: In a major push to bridge the gap between technical education and industry, the Uttar Pradesh Department of Technical Education has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Adani Skill and Education to equip polytechnic students with industry-relevant skills and improve their employability. The agreement was signed in the presence of Technical Education Minister Ashish Patel at the Vidhan Bhavan on Tuesday.
The partnership’s flagship Work-Study-Industrial Programme will enable students to gain practical experience in industrial units while pursuing their studies. They will receive a monthly stipend during the internship and an industry-recognised certificate upon successful completion. The initiative also includes career counselling, resume-building, job placement support, on-the-job training, apprenticeships and employment fairs.
The collaboration will modernise technical education by introducing advanced training in high-growth sectors such as artificial intelligence, drones, logistics, digital technologies, robotics, electric vehicles, semiconductor technology, healthcare, tourism, industrial parks, data centres and green energy. Modern laboratories and upgraded infrastructure will also be developed in selected institutions to support project-based learning and industry-aligned training.
Adani Skill and Education General Manager Manish Agrawal said the programme has been designed to create industry-ready talent and provide industries with a skilled workforce tailored to evolving technological needs.
Sudhanva Kimmane, Chief Operating Officer, Adani Skill and Education, said the partnership reflects a shared commitment to transforming technical education into a future-ready ecosystem. He noted that by integrating classroom learning with real-world industrial exposure, the initiative will enhance students’ practical competencies, improve their employment prospects and help build a highly skilled workforce capable of meeting the demands of rapidly evolving industries.
