Jaipur: AK-47 Seized in Churu During ‘Operation Queen’, Gangster Jitendra Jodi Arrested

Jaipur: In a major crackdown on illegal arms trafficking, Rajasthan’s Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF), under the direction of ADG Dinesh MN and supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police Siddhant Sharma, recovered an AK-47 rifle and two magazines from notorious arms trafficker Jitendra alias Jeetu Jodi, son of Khir Singh Rajput, a resident of Jodi village in Churu’s Bhaleri police station area.

The operation, dubbed ‘Operation Queen’, was carried out as part of an intensified campaign against gangsters and arms traffickers across Rajasthan. Notably, the arms traffickers referred to the AK-47 as “Rani” (Queen), which inspired the operation’s code name.

Earlier, the AGTF had seized an AK-56 rifle, dual magazines, and seven live cartridges from the possession of wanted gangster Rajveer alias Lara, who carried a bounty of ₹1 lakh.

In another linked operation in Dholpur, the AGTF had intercepted Jeetu while he was trafficking high-powered weapons from the Chambal region, recovering one AK-47 rifle, multiple magazines, and 34 live rounds.

ASP Siddhant Sharma said that multiple police teams were formed under the leadership of Inspectors Ravindra Pratap Singh, Sunil Kumar Jangid, and Sub-Inspector Kamlesh Kumar. The operation also saw the active participation of head constables and constables from AGTF, including Suresh Kumar, Sanny Kumar, Kamal Singh, Mohanlal, Mahesh, Naresh, Jitendra, Devendra, Surendra, and driver Shravan Ram.

The AGTF lauded the efforts of the team in recovering such high-grade weaponry and reiterated its commitment to eradicating organized crime and arms smuggling in Rajasthan. Further investigations are underway to trace the origin and end-users of the seized weapons.
