Lucknow: In a series of swift actions to maintain public peace and order, the Sushant Golf City Police in Lucknow arrested four individuals on April 30 for creating disturbances and refusing to comply with law enforcement officers.
According to Press Note No. 976 issued by the Lucknow Police Commissionerate, three separate incidents led to the arrests under Sections 170/126/135 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Neighborhood Dispute Escalates in Khurdahi Bazaar
Sub-Inspector Vinod Kumar, while on routine patrol, received information about a heated argument between two neighbors at Khurdahi Bazaar. Upon reaching the spot, the police found two individuals—Kailashchandra Yadav (46), son of the late Ramchandra Yadav, and Raghuraj (45), son of Naumeelal—engaged in a loud verbal spat over a prior disagreement related to children playing in the area. Despite repeated attempts by the police to pacify them, both continued to behave aggressively and appeared ready to engage in physical violence. To prevent escalation and ensure public order, both were taken into custody.
Violent Behavior in Mahmoodpur
In another incident, Sub-Inspector Shivakant Tiwari and his team responded to a tip about a disturbance in Mahmoodpur village. On arrival, they encountered Monu (30), son of the late Buddhalal, arguing aggressively with neighbors for no apparent reason. When officers attempted to defuse the situation, Monu refused to listen and became confrontational with the police. Given the potential for a cognizable offence, officers arrested him at the scene.
Verification Drive Turns Unruly in Shekhanaghat
Meanwhile, as part of an ongoing criminal verification drive, Sub-Inspector Sandeep Kumar Sharma reached Shekhanaghat village to verify the identity of a known individual. During this process, Bhim Singh Yadav (22), son of Vikram, reacted violently and began shouting at officers. Despite efforts to calm him, he became increasingly aggressive, prompting his immediate arrest to prevent a breach of peace.
All four accused have been booked under Sections 170, 126, and 135 of the BNS and are currently in police custody.
