Lucknow: The 82nd meeting of the Employees State Insurance Corporation, Regional Council was held in Tilak Hall, Uttar Pradesh Secretariat, Naveen Bhawan under the chairmanship of Anil Rajbhar, Minister, Ministry of Labor and Employment, Government of Uttar Pradesh and Chairman Regional Council. In which K.C. Jha, Member Secretary, through presentation, presented detailed information related to the infrastructure of Employees State Insurance Corporation / Scheme, Uttar Pradesh region and various benefits and schemes being given to the beneficiaries / workers covered under it. The strengthening of the scheme and its expansion in entire Uttar Pradesh, simplification/quick reimbursement of pending claims of insured persons and better provision of various cash benefits and medical benefits being provided to the insured by the Employees State Insurance Corporation/Scheme were discussed in detail and in accordance with the relevant decisions, providing land for setting up the newly announced ESIC Medical College in Noida and Varanasi was also discussed.
The Minister stressed the need for wide publicity of the Employees State Insurance Corporation’s Ward of IP Scheme, through which children of insured persons can get the benefit of admission in ESIC Medical/Dental/Nursing Colleges, as well as other schemes of the Corporation, so that the insured persons can get proper information and expected benefits of the schemes.
Along with this, the Minister stressed on proper maintenance of all the hospitals/dispensaries of ESIC Corporation and urged for proper upkeep of ESIC. The dispensaries of the Corporation should be opened/shifted to appropriate places so that all people can have a good image of ESI Corporation.
Besides this, the Minister assured all possible help from the Uttar Pradesh Government for implementation under ESI Corporation in Banda district. MLA Surendra Kumar Maithani, Anil Kumar, Principal Secretary (Labour), UP Government and Vice President Regional Council, Dr. Vijay Singh Chauhan, Member Regional Council, Arun Kumar Agarwal, Additional Representative of Employer, Radhey Krishna Tripathi, Representative of Employees, Shrikant Awasthi, Representative of Employees, Pranay Sinha, Regional Insurance Commissioner (Eastern Region) of Employees State Insurance Corporation, Surendra Prasad Singh, Director, Employees State Insurance Scheme, K.C. Jha, Regional Director and Member Secretary Regional Council, Dr. Akash Jaiswal, State Medical Officer, Dr. Parmanand Kumar, Medical Superintendent, ESI Hospital Jajmau, Dr. Krishna Sudha, Medical Superintendent, ESI Hospital were present in the meeting. Narendra Mohan Ojha, Deputy Director (In Charge), Sub Regional Office, Noida, Sanjeev Mishra, Deputy Director (In Charge), Sub Regional Office, Lucknow including many officers and Medical Superintendents of Employees State Insurance Corporation/Scheme were present.
