Lucknow/Pilibhit: Along with promoting industrial activities in the state, the Yogi government is working on several projects to provide better infrastructure and develop strategic locations as new industrial areas.

In this sequence, the process of developing Bhara Pachpera in Pilibhit as an industrial area has begun.

It is noteworthy that this Terai region is adjacent to Uttarakhand, attracting industrial investment and the operation of some industrial units. Now, with the development of the industrial area by the Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA), a major transformation is expected.

According to CM Yogi’s vision, a detailed action plan was prepared to transform this area. Following this plan, UPSIDA is set to begin developing Bhara Pachpera in Pilibhit into an industrial hub with an investment of Rs 304.83 crore.

UPSIDA will develop the Bhara Pachpera area into an industrial area in two phases. In the first phase, Rs 184.12 crore will be spent, and in the second phase, Rs 120.71 crore will be used to complete the development works.

Notably, to complete the construction and development works, UPSIDA has invited applications through a Request for Proposal (RFP). All construction works will be carried out using the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) method, and once the agency is selected, the development works are expected to be completed within 18 months. A Defect Liability Period (DLP) of 36 months has been set for all construction works, with a maintenance period of 3 months also included within the DLP.

The outline drawn for the development of Bhara Pachpera under the project includes roads and utility networks.

The designated industrial area within the project will be connected through a network of roads ranging from 18 to 45 meters. This encompasses earthwork, road pavement, road marking, signage, truck lay-bys, road drainage works, footpaths, median, and junction improvements.

Furthermore, construction will also include a 6-lane bridge spanning 160 meters in length, alongside elevated service reservoirs and the development of portable water supply networks.

Furthermore, borewells and open wells will be dug, and infrastructure for domestic sewage collection, solid waste treatment plants, efficient power supply, and internet access through optical fibre and WiFi will be integrated. Notably, each plot here will be equipped with plug-and-play facilities.
