Survey Begins for Inclusion in PM Awas Yojana (Gramin) Awas Plus List in Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow: Under the directives of Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, a state-wide survey has commenced to include eligible beneficiaries in the Awas Plus list under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G). The survey, which began on January 1, 2025, will identify previously excluded eligible households and is set to conclude by March 31, 2025. This initiative aims to ensure that homeless individuals and those living in dilapidated houses in rural Uttar Pradesh are provided with housing benefits under the PMAY-G scheme.

Objective and Scope

The survey will be conducted across rural areas of Uttar Pradesh through designated surveyors. The primary objective is to identify and include eligible beneficiaries who were previously left out of the scheme. The survey results will be updated on the Awas Plus mobile app by March 31, 2025, ensuring that these individuals can receive housing benefits in the upcoming financial year, 2025-26.

This time, the government has also introduced a self-registration feature on the Awas Plus mobile app, making the process more accessible and convenient for the public.

Eligibility Criteria

Under the PMAY-G scheme, beneficiaries listed in the Awas Plus list include:

  • Homeless individuals
  • Families living in kutcha houses with one or two rooms made of weak walls and roofs
