SRMS Inter-School Football Tournament Season 2: Quarterfinal Line-Up Finalised on Day 2

Bareilly: The second day of the Shri Ram Murti Memorial Inter-School Football Tournament Season 2 witnessed intense matches as four more teams secured their places in the quarterfinals. SR International School, Child Care Bishop Conrad School, Hartmann College, and Army Public School (Junior Wing) advanced after impressive performances.

The tournament is being hosted at the football stadium under the aegis of Bareilly District Football Association, with growing enthusiasm among young footballers.

In the fourth match of the day, SR International School defeated Bedi International School 4–2 in a thrilling Group B encounter. Bedi took an early lead through Tegpreet Singh in the 5th minute, but SR International responded strongly. Hamza scored a brilliant hat-trick (8th, 14th, and 28th minutes), while Wahid added another goal in the 49th minute to seal the victory.

The fifth match between Child Care Bishop Conrad School and Vidya World School Wing ended goalless in regulation time. The contest was decided via a tie-breaker, where Child Care Bishop Conrad edged past Vidya World 3–2 to move into the quarterfinals.

In the sixth match, Hartmann College registered a commanding 3–0 win over Sacred Hearts Senior Secondary School. Kavyansh Khanna opened the scoring in the 11th minute, followed by goals from Mahad Khan (38th minute) and Abhishek Ahuja (39th minute), ensuring a comfortable victory.

The seventh match saw Army Public School (Junior Wing) defeat GRM School 2–0, with Tanmay and Adarsh scoring one goal each.

Earlier, DPS, Sobti Public School, Krishna Public School, and Army Public School (Senior Wing) had already booked their quarterfinal spots on the opening day. All four quarterfinal matches are scheduled to be played on Thursday.

Officials including Bareilly District Football Association Secretary Moon Robinson and international football player and coach Naseem Akhtar were present at the venue, encouraging the players and applauding their performances.

The tournament continues to showcase emerging football talent from schools across the region, promising exciting clashes in the upcoming quarterfinals.
