Second Day of Uttar Pradesh State Level Viksit Bharat Yuva Sansad 2026 Sees Passionate National Discourse

Lucknow: The historic main pavilion of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly in Lucknow resonated with the voices of 180 young speakers on the second day of the three-day State Level Viksit Bharat Yuva Sansad 2026. Organized under the “Mera Yuva Bharat” (MY Bharat) initiative by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, this initiative aims to connect youth with democratic processes across various levels of governance. Selected from district-level competitions across all 75 districts of the state, these 375 participants are giving voice to the vision of a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India) during the Amrit Kaal.

Deepening the Dialogue on Union Budget 2026 and National Vision

The second day of the session was marked by profound, fact-based, and solution-oriented presentations from the youth speakers. Each participant was allotted three minutes to share their perspectives on the central theme: “Union Budget 2026: Strengthening the Path of Youth Towards Viksit Bharat 2047”. The discussions spanned critical dimensions including the startup ecosystem, Digital India, Artificial Intelligence, rural development, women’s empowerment, the green economy, and skill development. Speakers emphasized that the 2026 budget is not merely an economic document but a roadmap for social transformation that empowers the youth to take responsibility for building a developed nation.

Youth Engagement and Inclusive Development Models

Participants highlighted that the foundations of the current budget were influenced by the “Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2026,” where Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged directly with the youth to gather their suggestions. Young orators noted that their perspectives on health, entrepreneurship, and technology have found a place in national policy. The consensus among the speakers was that the goal of a developed India by 2047 can only be realized through inclusive, balanced, and sustainable development. This platform has transitioned youth from being mere spectators to active participants in understanding and influencing national policies.

Legislative Experience and the Path to the National Stage

For many of the promising young leaders from the state’s 75 districts, this event marked their first entry into the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, an experience many described as a pivotal “turning point” in their lives. The presentations showcased a unique blend of grassroots understanding and global vision, often delivered by participants in traditional attire. The evaluation of these speakers is being conducted by a distinguished jury including MLAs Shashank Verma, Dr. Surbhi, and Dr. Neeraj Bora, who provided guidance on parliamentary procedures and leadership skills. The event is being live-streamed on the official YouTube channel of the Legislative Assembly, reaching thousands across the state.

Final Selection and Future National Representation

As the State Level Viksit Bharat Yuva Sansad 2026 approaches its conclusion on May 3, 2026, anticipation grows for the selection of the top three performers. These three outstanding participants will earn the prestigious opportunity to represent Uttar Pradesh and present their views at the National Youth Parliament to be held at Parliament House in New Delhi. The event has seen the presence and support of senior officials from MY Bharat Uttar Pradesh, including Regional Director Anil Kumar Singh and State Director Gopesh Pandey, all of whom have lauded the energy and commitment displayed by the youth in their contributions to nation-building.
