Photo Exhibition Showcasing 12 Years of Central Government Achievements Draws Visitors in Bareilly

Bareilly: To mark the completion of 12 years of the Central Government, the Information and Public Relations Department, Bareilly, has organized a photo exhibition at the Collectorate premises highlighting major achievements, welfare initiatives, and development projects undertaken during the past decade.

The exhibition presents a comprehensive overview of the government’s accomplishments across various sectors through informative displays, photographs, and visual presentations. The initiative aims to familiarize citizens with key policies, flagship schemes, and developmental interventions that have impacted millions across the country.

Among the major schemes featured in the exhibition are the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Swachh Bharat Mission, Digital India Mission, women empowerment initiatives, youth welfare programmes, infrastructure development projects, and the Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana. Information on social welfare measures and initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life of citizens has also been displayed.

The exhibition has been attracting a large number of visitors daily, with residents, students, and government employees visiting the venue to learn about various public welfare schemes and development initiatives. Officials said the exhibition is helping raise public awareness about government programmes and encouraging eligible beneficiaries to take advantage of available schemes.

A special section of the exhibition highlights major development projects undertaken in Bareilly district in recent years. These include the construction of a 300-bed hospital built at a cost of approximately ₹74 crore, aimed at strengthening healthcare infrastructure and improving access to quality medical services.

The exhibition also showcases significant transportation and connectivity projects, including the construction of several Rail Over Bridges (ROBs) that have eased traffic congestion and improved mobility in and around the city. Notable projects include the ROB on the Mini Bypass Road constructed at a cost of ₹54.42 crore, the ROB on the Bareilly–Nainital route, and bridges facilitating smoother travel towards Nainital, Kasganj, and Lal Kuan.

Other major infrastructure developments highlighted include the ROB near Lal Phatak on the Bareilly-Badaun Road, the three-lane flyover at Chaupula Crossing on the Delhi-Lucknow highway, and the two-lane overbridge connecting the Old Bus Stand area on the Bareilly-Badaun route.

The exhibition also underscores advancements in the education sector. Government Degree Colleges have been established in Baheri and Bhadpura-Nawabganj at a cost of over ₹10 crore each, improving access to higher education for local youth, especially girls.

Additionally, the construction of the Atal Residential School at Adhakata Nazarana, Nawabganj, at a cost of ₹73.25 crore has been highlighted as a major initiative to provide quality education to the children of registered workers. A Government Polytechnic at Umedpur, Bhuta-Faridpur, built at a cost of ₹19.78 crore, has also been featured for its role in promoting technical education and skill development among rural and semi-urban youth.

Officials said the exhibition reflects the government’s commitment to inclusive development and serves as a platform to inform citizens about ongoing efforts to strengthen infrastructure, healthcare, education, and social welfare.
