Lucknow: A meeting regarding ENTIRE TREE TRANSLOCATION was held in the hall of UP Forest Corporation headquarters under the chairmanship of Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Dr. Arun Kumar Saxena/Chairman, UP Forest Corporation.
In the meeting, the Minister said that some areas of the state should be identified where 400-500 trees can be ENTIRE TREE TRANSLOCATION, so that the state can get maximum benefit from this process. The Forest Minister ordered that efforts should be made to save as many trees as possible through ENTIRE TREE TRANSLOCATION. All the formalities required in this work should be completed at a fast pace.
It was also instructed that the lots of National Highway Authority, which have 10-15 years old trees, should be selected for ENTIRE TREE TRANSLOCATION. The Forest Minister also directed that a meeting be organized with all the user agencies so that they can be sensitized/made aware about the process of entire tree transfer.
In the meeting, a detailed presentation was made about the method and nuances of ENTIRE TREE TRANSLOCATION by the agency which has been doing the work of entire tree transfer (ENTIRE TREE TRANSLOCATION) for about 14 years. Manoj Singh, Additional Chief Secretary informed that the Government has earlier designated UP Forest Corporation as the nodal agency for the work of ENTIRE TREE TRANSLOCATION. The Additional Chief Secretary also directed that first of all the agencies working in the field of ENTIRE TREE TRANSLOCATION should be identified and empanelled.
Managing Director of UP Forest Corporation Sunil Chaudhary and Pramod Kumar Gupta, Nodal Officer along with other senior officers of Forest Corporation were present in the meeting.
