Lucknow: A voter awareness campaign was conducted under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Lucknow University Professor Alok Kumar Rai.
Under this voter awareness campaign, the Vice Chancellor and the teachers, students of the university walked on foot and informed the passers-by, shopkeepers and other passers-by about voting through pamphlets and went out of the university and conducted a voter awareness campaign in Babuganj and Daliganj.
In this, the Vice Chancellor and the teachers, students told the passers-by, shopkeepers and other people about the importance of voting and the need to vote. In this campaign, students kept chanting slogans like “Pehle Matdaan, Phir Jalpaan”, “An effort towards voter awareness”, “Leave all your work, first go and vote”, “The fate of democracy is decided by the aware voter”, “Respect democracy, vote 100%”, etc.
Lucknow University’s Dean Prof Rakesh Dwivedi, Chief Provost Prof Anoop Singh, National Service Scheme Coordinator Dr Amarendra Kumar, Dr O P Shukla, Dr Rajeshwar Yadav, Prof Babita Jaiswal, Prof Alka Kumari, etc. were involved in this campaign.
